AEO<\/h2>\n

On 20 January 2009, CHIMAR successfully completed the certification process, consisting of four audits, and obtained Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status.
The AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification recognizes companies that meet the highest standards of customs compliance, supply chain security, and operational reliability, facilitating international trade and customs procedures.
\nThe European Union’s AEO certification program applies to economic operators and their business partners involved in the international supply chain, including manufacturers and exporters, packaging companies, freight forwarders and carriers, customs brokers, transport operators, and importers engaged in export-related activities as part of their business operations.
\nBy obtaining AEO status, these operators are recognized by Customs Authorities as reliable and secure partners within the international supply chain. Having successfully undergone a rigorous verification process, they benefit from a higher level of trust and are distinguished from operators without AEO certification.
\nEU recognition of reliability and AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) status is granted following specific assessments and audits conducted by the relevant national Customs Authority. In Italy, this is the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency. The certification verifies compliance with customs regulations, adherence to the required accounting and record-keeping standards, financial solvency, and the implementation of appropriate security measures.
\nObtaining Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status enables economic operators to benefit from a range of direct and indirect advantages in relation to customs procedures and international trade operations.
As global supply chain security and customs compliance continue to gain importance, the role of AEO-certified operators is expected to become increasingly significant. <\/p>\n
